Daniel Didavi, who is on loan from Stuttgart, opened scoring for Nurnberg after only eight minutes of play. Jens Hegeler, on loan from Leverkusen, doubled the Nurnberg lead in the 22nd minute. Tomás Pekhart, from the Czech Republic, finished the scoring with a third Nurnberg goal in minute 73.

Mario Gomez made it 1-0 with his league leading 16th goal of the season, coming on a gutsy setup by Thomas Muller. Austrian David Alaba doubled the lead for Bayern. Finally Toni Kroos got on the scoring board with his first goal of the season.

He added to that tally when it took him only seven minutes to put Dortmund ahead 1-0. Jan Rosenthal equalized in the 34th minute for Freiburg. Ilkay Gündogan put Dortmund back in the lead 2-1 a minute before the interval with his first goal of the season, with Jakub Blaszczykowski assisting. It was a controversial goal however because the linesman raised his flag and the Freiburg defense froze while Dortmund continued playing and scored. On 59 minutes, Kevin Großkreutz made it 3-1 for Dortmund with Lewandowski assisting. Man of the Match Lewandowski wasn’t finished, as he made it 4-1 in the 70th minute. Paraguaian Lucas Barrios, who has made his intentions clear that he wishes to leave Dortmund, was substituted in for the very active Lewandowski. Barrios lost his starting position to the red hot Lewandowski after an injury. Dortmund are now undefeated in its last 11 games.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar hit the post and vice captain Raul put the rebound into goal. The Spaniard quickly scored again on a Huntelaar setup, giving Raul two goals in four minutes. Raul then completed a hat trick. Huntelaar scored the fifth goal for Schalke with his 15th goal of the season.
